After the state exhibition in 2015 in the Mostviertel , 2017 in the Waldviertel and 2019 in the industrial district , the exhibition is to take place in the Weinviertel in 2022 . At the beginning of 2018 the association "Retz2021" applied for the state exhibition 2021 in Retz and Znojmo with the working title "Turning times 1900 to 2000: Lower Austria-Moravia in the neighborhood" under the motto "Lower Austria and South Moravia - revitalizing old connections". A second application came from the Marchfeld region with Marchegg Castle as the main location. Another application came from the Korneuburg region . The decision for one of the three applications was made on June 5, 2018. In 2022 the Lower Austrian State Exhibition will take place in Marchegg Castle.
