Togo took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . It was the tenth participation in the Summer Olympics. The Comité National Olympique Togolais nominated five athletes in three sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the swimmer Adzo Kpossi .
