Palau-del-Vidre ( Catalan Palau del Vidre ) is a French commune with 3,142 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department of the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Céret and the canton of La Côte Vermeille . The place is in the valley of the Tech River .

Palau-del-Vidre is known for its glassblowers who have been based there since the Middle Ages. The Catalan place name is derived from the tradition of glass blowing. Every year in August, the town hosts the international festival "Les Arts du Verre", to which glass artists from all over Europe travel.
