Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts ( Sant Joan de Pladecorts in Catalan ) is a French commune with 2218 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Céret and the canton of Vallespir-Albères . The place is in the valley of the Tech River .
Part of the agricultural land is used for viticulture and the vineyards are within the protected designations of origin Rivesaltes , Muscat de Rivesaltes and Côtes du Roussillon .
