Pinzberg is a municipality in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim and the seat of the Gosberg administrative community .

Geographical location
Pinzberg is located in the Upper Franconia-West planning region , about 5 km southeast of Forchheim .

history
Until the church is planted
Pinzberg belonged to the bishopric of Bamberg , which from 1500 was in the Franconian Empire . Since the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss of 1803, the place, like large parts of Franconia, has belonged to Bavaria (see also History of Franconia ). In the course of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent communities of Dobenreuth and Gosberg were incorporated.

mayor
Elisabeth Simmerlein (Free Voters) has been the mayor since 2020. Reinhard Seeber (CSU / Bürgerblock) was in office from 1996 to 2020. His predecessor was the later District Administrator Reinhardt Glauber (1990 to 1996).
Second mayor is Peter Andexinger (Voting Association of Independent Citizens) and third Mayor Thorsten Glauber (Free Voting Group).
Youth council and youth mayor
There has been a youth council in Pinzberg since 1996. This was brought into being by the then mayor Reinhardt Glauber. The incumbent youth mayor since 2008 is Fabian Friedl from Gosberg.

The description of the coat of arms reads: In gold, a looped red tip, inside a silver gate tower with an adjoining silver ashlar wall on both sides; bordered in front by a black three-leaf clover, behind by a black cornflower blossom.

Economy including agriculture and forestry
According to official statistics, in 1998 there were 28 in the manufacturing industry and no employees in the field of trade and transport who were subject to social security contributions at the place of work. In other economic areas, 29 people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions. There were a total of 669 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There was one company in the manufacturing sector and one company in the main construction sector. In addition, there were 71 farms in 1999 with an agricultural area of 1046 hectares, of which 633 hectares were arable land and 338 hectares were permanent green areas.
traffic
The community has two stops (Pinzberg and Gosberg) on the Forchheim – Behringersmühle railway line and is integrated into the tariff area of the greater Nuremberg area .
The Franconian Marienweg runs through Pinzberg .
