history
Plastunovskaya is one of the first 40 stanizi founded in 1794 in the Kuban area, initially as Cossack spa settlements . It was initially about 30 km south, on the right bank of the Kuban, west of Starokorsunskaya , until it was moved to its current location in 1814. The name is derived from plastun , originally a term for Cossack scouts , later also general Cossack rank . In 1842 the status of Staniza was given. It initially belonged to the department (otdel) Jekaterinodar (today Krasnodar) of the Kuban Oblast .
On January 31, 1934, Staniza became the administrative seat of the Plastunowski rajon named after it. However, the administration was transferred to Dinskaya on February 21, 1935. The Rajon retained its name until May 26, 1961, when the name was changed to Dinskoi rajon.
