Hidaka Province
Hidaka ( Japanese 日 高 国 , Hidaka no kuni ) was a short-lived province in Japan in the Hidaka sub-prefecture in the area of today's Hokkaidō prefecture .
history
The province was founded on August 15, 1869 with seven counties ( 郡 , gun ). The 1872 census showed a population of 6,574 (families). In 1882 the provinces in Hokkaidō were dissolved.
