Vonderort district park

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Revierpark Vonderort is a leisure park in Oberhausen on the border with Bottrop .

The Vonderort Revierpark was largely created on the site of a disused quartz sand pit. It was opened in 1974 as the third of a total of five district parks in the Ruhr area . The approximately 32 hectare park area in the hilly southeast of the Oberhausen district of Osterfeld is divided into a north and a south part by Bottroper Strasse. In the northern part there is a large playground and various fields for team sports , a former ice rink , which is now used as an inline skater hockey hall, and a leisure pool with a saltwater pool , sauna area and outdoor pool . The southern part offers a multi-purpose pavilion and the “leisure house”, in which the administration is housed and which can be used for various cultural and social events.
