history

The knight seat Kleinfalke was first mentioned in 1209 as Valgkawe and in 1308 as Valke in a deed of donation from Reichsvoigt Heinrich von Gera . Historically belonging to the Reuss rule , the place was an exclave between Saxony-Altenburg and Saxony-Weimar areas. In 1827 the place had a manor, 23 houses and 118 inhabitants. Cronschwitz and Veitsberg were the church locations for the small falcon and the desert falcon . During the Thirty Years' War the place lost all of its inhabitants.

On April 1, 1919, the Kleinfalke and Wüstfalke were merged. Großfalka, Kleinfalke, Niebra and Otticha form the new municipality of Falka on July 1, 1950 .

The post mill, located in the direction of Hilbersdorf since 1795 , was demolished in the 1970s; it lives on in the seal of the place with the depiction of a falcon and the windmill. A culture house built in GDR times now houses the kindergarten and the district office. In 1993 a new sports and club house was built.

Kleinfalke manor

The upper and inheritance jurisdiction over Kleinfalke, Wüstfalke and Pohlen was connected with the manor Kleinfalke ; Upper jurisdiction fell to the state in 1836, while lower jurisdiction was repealed on January 1, 1855. In 1614 Kleinfalke was owned by the von Woldersdorf family, from 1672 by the von Raab family, from 1804 the Leo family, and 1864 the Bruhm family. In 1863 the manor was demolished and the land was now managed by Gut Wüstfalke, which also belonged to the Bruhm family.

politics

The municipality of Falka (Großfalka, Kleinfalke with the associated Wüstfalke, Niebra and Otticha) were incorporated into the city of Gera on April 1, 1994 . Since then, the places have formed the Falka district of the city of Gera with its own local constitution and local council (until II / 2009 local council) . The district mayor is Herbert Dietrich (non-party).
