Rudakowo ( Russian Рудаково , German  Ruddecke , Lithuanian Rudakiai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Neman in Nemansky District .

Geographical location

Rudakowo is 16 kilometers south of the district town of Neman on the Tilse river ( Russian тыльжа , Tylscha). history

The village formerly known as Ruddecke was incorporated into the district of Sommerau (today Russian: Sagorskoje) in 1874, which existed until 1945 and belonged to the district of Ragnit until 1922 , then to the district of Tilsit-Ragnit in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the war, the village came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . It was given the Russian name "Rudakowo" in 1947 and was at the same time classified in the village soviet Schilinski selski Sowet in Sovetsk Raion . From 2008 to 2016 Rudakowo belonged to the rural municipality of Shilinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Neman.
