Steven loves cinema was a German television magazine that focused on current cinema and DVD reboots. The episodes were initially broadcast on Tele 5 , later on ProSieben , Sat.1 , kabel eins , sixx and ProSieben Maxx . After the eponymous presenter of the show, Steven Gätjen , switched to ZDF , the show was canceled in early 2016.
concept
In his program, presenter and film fan Steven Gätjen presented films in short reports - currently in German cinemas - and gave DVD tips. Apart from these contributions, he was often accompanied by the camera to film premieres, which he moderated, or he met for interviews with German actors like Nora Tschirner or with international movie stars like Tom Cruise . In addition, a contribution from Moviepilot was an integral part of the program.
Special consequences
- In one episode, Gätjen introduced the editorial team of their own show.
- In another, the classic moderation sections were replaced by an interview by Gätjens with Simon Verhoeven and Nilz Bokelberg . The usual opening credits were replaced by a parody of the Harald Schmidt Show . In addition, the episode was extraordinarily long with a running time of almost an hour.
- In another episode, Gätjen reported from the Academy Awards directly from Los Angeles
Charisma
From November 2011 to January 2012, the program ran on Sundays and started between 6:20 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Tele 5 . In addition, the current episode was repeated several times a week. For the first time on February 5, 2012, the magazine could not be seen until 7:45 p.m. However, those responsible could not be satisfied with the audience ratings , so that the program did not return from the summer break in 2012. Instead, it was announced in January 2013 that the station ProSieben will continue the magazine and will show 14 new episodes from February 24th, which will be broadcast around 11:25 a.m. The consequences should be repeated every night on Kabel Eins .
