Susan "Susie" J. Isaacs (born December 18, 1946 in Nashville , Tennessee ) is a professional American poker player . She is nicknamed Ms. Poker and two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Personal

Isaacs has lived in Las Vegas since 1986 . She published the poker book MsPoker: Up Close & Personal in 1999 . In 2006 her second work was published, entitled 1000 Best Poker Strategies and Secrets .

Poker career

Career

Isaacs has participated in prestigious live tournaments since 1989 .

In May 1991 she was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas and came 15th in the Ladies Championship . At the same tournament in 1993 she came third and in 1994 fourth. In 1996 and 1997 , she won the Ladies Event for herself, becoming the first player to win it twice in a row. In the 1998 WSOP took Isaacs in the main event in tenth place for a prize of 40,000 US dollars . In mid-November 2008 she won the Fall Poker Round-Up in Pendleton with a prize of over $ 40,000.

Overall, Isaacs has earned almost $ 500,000 in poker in live tournaments.
