Jackqueline "Jackie" Glazier (born November 28, 1973 in Melbourne ) is a professional Australian poker player .

Personal

Glazier grew up in Melbourne. In her youth she played tennis , volleyball and basketball and did bodyboarding . She studied secondary school teaching with the subjects physics and mathematics . Glazier lives in Melbourne. In 2018 she took part in the Australian edition of the reality television show Survivor .

Poker career

Glazier has been playing poker since 2005 and has participated in prestigious live tournaments since 2008.

In early December 2009 Glazier made the money at the main event of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Sydney and finished the tournament in 32nd place for just under 10,000 Australian dollars . In July 2010 she was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and finished 427th in the main event for over 30,000 US dollars . In July 2011, she won the Deep Stack Extravaganza at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas with a prize of over 70,000 US dollars. In mid-May 2012, she also won the Melbourne Poker Championship Main Event and secured 95,000 Australian dollars. In the 2012 WSOP Glazier died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em at the final table, finishing the event behind Greg Ostrander in second place for their biggest prize money amounting to almost 460,000 US dollars. A year later, she reached the sixth day of the tournament at the WSOP main event . There she was the last woman to drop out in 31st place and received prize money of around 230,000 US dollars. At the World Series of Poker Europe , which was held in Enghien-les-Bains , France, in October 2013 , Glazier won the Ladies Event and secured a prize money of more than 20,000 euros and a bracelet . At the WSOP Asia Pacific , she finished twelfth in the main event in mid-October 2014 for 40,000 Australian dollars.

In total, Glazier has earned just under $ 1.5 million in poker in live tournaments. As of October 2016 she was sponsored by the online poker room partypoker , where she played under the nickname JACKSTARPARTY .
