The Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi Aategorisi 2002/03 was the 40th season of the second highest Turkish league in professional men's football. It began on August 24, 2002 with the 1st matchday and ended on May 25, 2003 with the 34th and final matchday.

In the 2002/03 season, as in the previous season, it was designed as a single-track league. In contrast to the previous season, the number of teams was reduced from 20 to 18. At the end of the season, the teams in the first three places in the table were promoted directly to the higher 1st Lig and the teams in the last three places in the table were relegated to the lower 2nd Lig B CATEGORY .

Beginning of the season were to the left from the previous season to 12 teams three relegated from the 1. Lig Çaykur Rizespor , Antalyaspor , Yimpas Yozgatspor and the two newly promoted Vestel Manisaspor , Mersin İdmanyurdu , Adana Demirspor from the third-rate Türkiye Futbol Ligi 2. B Kategorisi Added .

Konyaspor finished the season as champions and rose again to the highest Turkish league after ten years of abstinence. The table places two and three occupied Çaykur Rizespor and Akçaabat Sebatspor and also rose directly to the 1st Lig . While Manisaspor managed direct resurgence, Akçaabat Sebatspor also took part in the top division for the first time in the club's history. At the end of the season, Erzurumspor , Gümüşhane Doğanspor and Şekerspor were relegated .

The top scorer of the league was Yunus Altun from the west Turkish representative Çaykur Rizespor with 24 goals .
