The tower hill Altes Schloss is a defunct tower castle (Motte) in Stobersreuth in the district of Hof in Bavaria .
Even if there are hardly any traces of the moth in the village of Stobersreuth today, the complex is significant in terms of settlement history and exemplifies early fortifications in the area. The core mound, surrounded by water, was filled in in the north and northeast so that it appears as an indentation on the bank of the pond. The complex was probably built in the 14th century after the Counts of Henneberg had transferred the place to the Hirschbergers on the Rudolfstein as their imperial fief in 1317 . Later, the facility and the adjacent farm served as the preliminary work for the manor in Schwarzenbach .
