William Youngblood

William Youngblood was an American politician . Between 1818 and 1820 he was lieutenant governor of the state of South Carolina .

There are virtually no usable sources on William Youngblood. What is certain is that he lived at least temporarily in South Carolina and was a member of the Democratic Republican Party . He also held the rank of major general. Whether he held this position in the state militia or in the United States Army is not mentioned in the sources.

In 1818, Youngblood was elected lieutenant governor of his state by the South Carolina General Assembly , alongside John Geddes . He held this office between December 8, 1818 and December 7, 1820. He was Deputy Governor . After his time as Lieutenant Governor, his track is lost again.
