Henry Bradley (politician)

Henry Bradley (* around 1782 -  April 8, 1825 ) was an American politician . Between 1822 and 1824 he was lieutenant governor of the state of South Carolina .

Career

The sources on Henry Bradley are relatively poor. His date and place of birth are not recorded. Since he died in 1825 at the age of 43, he must have been born around 1782. His professional career is also unknown. He was a member of the South Carolina Militia. At the time of his death, he held the rank of major general there. He commanded the 3rd division of the state militia. Politically, he joined the former of Thomas Jefferson founded the Democratic-Republican Party of. In 1822 he was elected lieutenant governor of his state by the South Carolina General Assembly alongside John Lyde Wilson . He held this office between December 7, 1822 and December 3, 1824. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . He died just months later on April 8, 1825 and was buried in Chester .
