Governor of south carolina

In 1838 he was proposed as governor by the Democratic Party and then elected by the state parliament. His term of office began on December 10, 1838 and was determined by the consequences of the economic crisis of 1837 . As a result, in October 1839, the state's banks had to temporarily suspend cash withdrawals. The governor could not finish his term of office, which would have run until December 1840, because he died on April 7th of that year. Lieutenant Governor Barnabas Kelet Henagan then ended that term. Patrick Noble was married to Elizabeth Bonneau Pickens. The couple had seven children.
