Willy Braillard (born May 12, 1946 in Uccle ) is a Belgian entrepreneur and former racing driver .

Entrepreneur

Willy Braillard was sales manager at SA Fina , a Belgian mineral oil company , in the 1960s . He managed the sales network and was responsible for looking after the petrol station tenants. In 1973 he moved to the Marabout publishing house, where he was responsible for the mail order business - as director from 1976.

In 1980 he started his own business. Willy Baillard was the first address trading and file management company in Belgium. Baillard held various positions with international marketing associations . From 1989 to 1996 he was Vice President of the European Direct Marketing Association . From 1994 he held the same position in the Belgian association for many years.

Racing career

Willy Braillard's driver career began in Formula Vee in 1969 and led through touring cars to sports car racing . He celebrated his first international success with fourth place overall at the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race in 1969 . He achieved two further results in the top field in this race with fifth places in 1972 and 1978 . He started four times in the Le Mans 24-hour race , but was unable to classify in any of the races .
