The Yamaha RD 200 was a motorcycle introduced by Yamaha in 1972 that was built until 1981.

technology

With the RD models, Yamaha introduced diaphragm control , including this small two-cylinder two- stroke engine that was lubricated with a fresh oil pump. While the Japanese version was equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel from the start , this was not replaced by the drum brake until 1975 in the German version . Due to the classification of insurance classes at the time, the RD 200 was also offered as a throttled version with 12.5 kW (17 hp).
