The Yamaha YZR-M1 is a racing motorcycle that was developed by Yamaha Racing and has been used in the MotoGP class, the highest prototype category of the FIM - Motorcycle Road World Championship , since 2002 .

2009 model

Yamaha planned the successful title defense from the previous year for the motorcycle world championship 2009 .
