The Yamaha DT 50 R is a by the French subsidiary MBK Industrie SA of the motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha Motor produced moped . The Mokick with the type designation DT 50 R 3MN came onto the market in 1989 as the successor to the successful DT 50 MX and was again replaced in 1997 by the DT 50 R model of the same name, but greatly changed .
DT 50 R 3MN (year of construction 1989–1996)
General
In contrast to the previous model DT 50 MX , the DT 50 R 3MN no longer used components from the 80 cm 3 -MX , which enabled a more cost-effective delivery. A comparable off-road capability as with the previous model was deliberately dispensed with, since the DT 50 R was designed more for road use than the DT 50 MX (hence probably the R (Road / Racing) in the type designation). The difference to the previous model is particularly evident in the disc brake (instead of the drum brake ) on the front wheel.
