As a result of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867), the Arad region, like the whole of Banat and Transylvania, was annexed to the Kingdom of Hungary within the Austro-Hungarian dual monarchy . In 1967 archaeological excavations in Șilindia revealed Dacian coins from the 3rd century BC. Discovered. There are 800 silver coins weighing 10-11 kg. The silver coins are partly in the Arad museum complex (366 coins) and partly in the museum in Oradea (361 coins). Two coins are kept in the Lyceum in Ineu .
