history

The first documentary mention comes from 1418.

Over the centuries, different spellings of the place name appeared: Hozyaczo , Assiase , Hosszuaszo , Marosaszo .

On the Josephine land survey of 1717, Hussisso is registered and had 20 houses. After the Peace of Passarowitz (1718) the village was part of the Habsburg crown domain Temescher Banat . Assiase is inhabited on the Mercy map from 1723 . 152 families are registered in 1786.

As a result of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867), the Arad region, like the whole of Banat and Transylvania, was annexed to the Kingdom of Hungary within the Austro-Hungarian dual monarchy . The official place name was Marosasző .

The Treaty of Trianon on June 4, 1920 resulted in border regulation, whereby Murăşti fell to the Kingdom of Romania . This is the name of the village until the administrative reform of 1925, when Ususau was officially introduced as a place name. In the interwar period, the village belonged to the Lipova chair district, Timiș-Torontal district.
