28th National Hockey League All-Star Game
The 28th National Hockey League All-Star Game was played on January 21, 1975 in Montréal . The game took place in the Montréal Forum , the venue of the host Montréal Canadiens . The All-Stars of the Prince of Wales Conference clearly beat those of the Campbell Conference 7-1. The game saw 16,080 spectators. Syl Apps Junior of the Pittsburgh Penguins has been named MVP .
Changes
In 1974 more teams were added to the National Hockey League . Since there were now more associations and new geographical focuses, it was decided to reorganize the conferences. The Eastern Conference became the Prince of Wales Conference and the Western Conference became the Campbell Conference . It was the first all-star match in which the two new conferences met.
