The 53rd National Hockey League All-Star Game was played on February 2, 2003 in Sunrise , Florida . The host of the game was the first time the Florida Panthers . In 1999, the first NHL All-Star Game in Florida was played in Tampa Bay.

The event, which was held at the Office Depot Center , was attended by the best players from the National Hockey League . In the game, the best players in the Western Conference competed against the best players in the Eastern Conference . The starting formations of the All-Star Teams could be determined by the fans through a vote. There were 19,250 spectators in the stadium.
