The 34th National Hockey League All-Star Game was played on February 9, 1982 in Landover . The game took place at the Capital Center , the home of the host Washington Capitals . The All-Stars of the Prince of Wales Conference beat those of the Campbell Conference 4-2. The game saw 18,130 spectators. Mike Bossy of the New York Islanders was named MVP .
