A musical entertainment program with the subtitle A musical hike was broadcast in the evening program on the television of the GDR from 1979 to 1991 .

Conception

In each of the 45-minute programs, a region, a city, a district or a district in the GDR was presented. Topics relating to landscape, culture, handicrafts, customs and production facilities (e.g. VEBs ) were touched on, supplemented by explanations and interviews. The main content, however, was the presentation of music titles at original locations and attractions in the region. These were often performed by local artists, choirs or ensembles.

The musical spectrum ranged from German folk songs , singing in regional dialect to folk and peace songs , with well-known artists such as Gaby Rückert , Dagmar Frederic , Eva Maria Pieckert , Barbara Kellerbauer , Gabi Munk , Adi Horndt , Sabine Fehse , Michael Hansen , Fred Frohberg , Jacqueline Jacob , Monika Herz , Horst Krüger , Heinz Martin Benecke , Kurt Demmler , Gerhard Schöne , Christian Rau , Ingrid Raack , Werner Pauli , Anett Navall , Tatjana Seyffert , Dina Straat , Peter Skodowski , Eberhard Hertel , Jörn Fechner , Claudia Mahnke , Siegfried Uhlenbrock , Hans Joachim Stiegler , Harald Wilk , Knut Kiesewetter , Christel Schulze , the show orchestra Uncle , Ute & Jean as well as Monika Hauff and Klaus-Dieter Henkler performed.

After reunification , the series also presented regions in the old federal states.

Moderator of the program was Gerhard Neef , who regularly recited songs themselves.

Broadcast dates, media

The program was broadcast on DDR 1 on different working days after 8 p.m., and rarely after 9 p.m. The winter editions, mostly just before Christmas, ran on Sundays in the afternoon program. On average, 4 to 6 episodes were produced and broadcast each year. The last episode aired on DFF on December 20, 1991 .

An LP with 16 tracks from the show was released in 1984 under the title Auf Schusters Rappen - Landpartie with Gerhard Neef and many guests at VEB Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin ( DNB 351523960 ). In 1990 this LP was also released as a CD by VEB Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin ( DNB 1007448504 ).
