Barbaresco is a municipality with 615 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Cuneo , Piedmont region . The red wine of the same name is grown in the area. Vines for Dolcetto d'Alba , a red wine with DOC status, are also grown in Barbaresco .

The neighboring municipalities are: Alba , Castagnito , Guarene , Neive and Treiso .
