Betongtavlen
Betongtavlen is a Norwegian architecture prize that has been awarded annually since 1961 in late summer / autumn for buildings in Norway where " concrete has been used in an environmentally friendly, aesthetically and technically outstanding manner". The winning construction will be determined by two members of the National Association of Norwegian Architects ( Norske arkitekters landsforbund , NAL) and three representatives of the Norwegian Concrete Association (Norsk Betongforening) , and the prize can be awarded for old or new buildings. Betongtavlen goes back to an initiative of the Norwegian engineer Sven Thaulow, who campaigned eloquently for the use of concrete. The prize is not to be confused with the concrete element prize , which has been awarded by the National Association of Norwegian Architects (NAL) for the use of precast concrete elements since 1987 .
