Darowskoi ( Russian Даровско́й ) is an urban-type settlement in Kirov Oblast in Russia with 7,125 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is about 100 km as the crow flies west-northwest of the Kirow Oblast Administrative Center at the mouth of the Darowka in the right Moloma tributary Kobra .

Darowskoi is the administrative center of the Rajons Darowskoi and seat of the municipality Darowskoje gorodskoje posselenije, belong to the next settlement 32 villages.

history

The place was founded in 1717. On June 10, 1929 Darovskoy was the administrative seat of a newly created Rajons named after him. In 1965 it was given urban-type settlement status.

The 33N-081 regional road leads to Darovskoy and branches off the federal trunk road R176 Vyatka Cheboksary  - Yoshkar-Ola  - Kirov / Syktywkar a good 50 km south of the town of Kotelnitsch . The closest train station to the Trans-Siberian Railway is also located in Kotelnitsch .

From Darowskoi to the north, the 33N-080 leads to the neighboring district of Oparino , about 120 km away .
