Lebjaschje ( Russian Лебя́жье ) is an urban-type settlement in the Kirov Oblast in Russia with 3362 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is a good 130 km as the crow flies south of the Kirov Oblast Administrative Center on the right bank of the Vyatka , at the confluence of the Lebjodka tributary.
Lebjaschje is the administrative center of Lebjaschski Rajons and the seat and only locality of the municipality Lebjaschskoje gorodskoje posselenije.
history
The place was founded in 1605 and was initially known as Nikolskoje . He subsequently belonged to the Ujesd Urschum of the Vyatka Governorate .
On July 29, 1929 Lebjaschje became the administrative seat of a newly created Rajons named after him. On August 14, 1959, the Rajon was temporarily dissolved. With its rebuilding on April 19, 1965 Lebjaschje received the status of an urban-type settlement.

The regional road 33N-010 runs through Lebjaschje, which runs from Kriuscha south of Kotelnitsch via Sovetsk down the right bank of the Vyatka to 33R-002 Kirow - Vjatskije Polyany north of Urschum 33R-002.
The nearest train station, the end of a line from Zelenodolsk near Kazan via Yoshkar-Ola , is in Jaransk, 100 km to the west .
