Die lonely! is a German television film by Thorsten Schmidt from 2015. It is the 61st episode of the crime series Ein stark Team with Maja Maranow and Florian Martens in the leading roles.

action

Chief Detective Verena Berthold and colleague Otto Garber are investigating in an anonymous skyscraper after a woman's body was found on the ninth floor. Due to the decayed state of the victim, which was only found weeks after his death, hardly any usable traces can be found. However, it is certain that the woman was slain. A tenant, with whom the victim was in a dispute, is suspected of being committed by a resident of the house. Since there is evidence that Kevin Lang was in the apartment of the dead, he is taken into custody. Further research in the victim's environment reveals that the woman was very lonely and had little contact with others. There also do not seem to be any relatives, as no relatives appear even at the funeral.

While Kevin Lang is still in police custody, another murder occurs in the house. Georg Nader was also a single person and Hartz IV recipient, like the first victim. After an object is found on Nader, which is very likely the weapon in the case of the killed resident, this murder can be clarified. The question of the motive for the crime, which investigator Ben Kolberg explains with the social psychosis from which Nader suffered, remains open . Nader hadn't been able to allow physical closeness for several years. If someone fell short of a certain distance, he fought back and lashed out, which was the old woman's undoing. The illness had also caused Nader to leave his wife. When Sonja Nader found out about this anxiety disorder, she reproached herself for not recognizing the disease and helping her husband. For Verena Berthold, the question arises whether Nader's son had coped with the separation of his parents so easily. Nico Nader is interviewed and says in the conversation that he saw a woman in the stairwell the last time he visited his father.

The inspector notices that an envelope from the employment office was not stamped on Nader's belongings. For them, this can only mean that the letter was delivered personally and so Nader's supervisor Veronika Teichmann is summoned. She admits that she was in love with Nader and, contrary to custom, brought the document to him personally. When she wanted to confess her affection to him that evening and got too close to him physically, he freaked out and in the affect she fought against him with a pair of scissors lying around.

Reviews

Tilmann P. Gangloff from Tittelbach.tv judged: “'Die lonely!' is not an outstanding, but a rock solid and carefully staged Saturday crime thriller. The 61st case for the 'Strong Team' around Maranow & Martens uses a murder in a prefabricated building as a parable about the loneliness of the city dweller, but the pleasant casualness of the staging prevents a meaningful themed film. "

At derwesten.de Gerd Heidecke wrote: "Unusual story, good actors, but the too routine staging gives away a possible highlight."

Frederic Servatius at odds meter. de was of the opinion: “Because of the big picture - the well-functioning plot - the viewer occasionally overlooks the fact that maybe everything is a little confused. That applies to a few aspects of the story as well as to short sequences of the actors. "" All in all, the new episode turns out quite well. Despite some weaknesses, the plot is very acceptable, the actors play professionally and harmonize well with each other and visually the whole thing doesn't look too bad. "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm only give a medium rating (thumbs straight) and say: “The real evil, we can reveal that much, is: loneliness. Thanks to a few good figures, the leisurely search for perpetrators provides reasonably solid entertainment. ”Conclusion:“ Keen Uffreger, but it's alright, eh? ”
