Haasgang (colloquially: "Hōsgang") is a district of the municipality Weihenzell in the district of Ansbach , Middle Franconia .

geography

The Eisengraben and the Hanggraben arise near the village, both right tributaries of the Mettlachbach, which flows into the Haselbach to the left . In the south-west are the Geißberg and the Eisengraben, in the south-west is the forest area Adelmannsdorfer Schlag. The district road AN 9 leads to Rügland to AN 17 (1 km northwest) or to Neubronn (1.3 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned around 1300 with the name "Hasegank", probably referring to a rich rabbit population in this area. Due to its rather unfavorable location, the place is considered to be a late founding that did not take place before the 10th century.

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Ansbach from 1684, 10 teams were recorded for Haasgang: 6 half-yards were subordinate to the Hofkastenamt Ansbach and 2 half-yards to the Vogtamt Unterstbibert . There was also the shepherd's house and a smithy, both of which were used communally. The high court and the village and community authority exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbachische Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Haasgang. The court box office in Ansbach continued to exercise the high court and the village and community rule. The sole landlord was the Principality of Ansbach (Hofkastenamt Ansbach: 1 courtyard, 3 half courtyards, 4 estates, 1 empty house ; Vogtamt Unterstbibert: 2 courtyards). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, forge). At that time there were 14 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

In 1806 Haasgang came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict, Haasgang was assigned to the Wernsbach tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Wernsbach, founded in 1811 . On July 27, 1830 the community Haasgang was formed: Haasgang, Moratneustetten and Neubronn were umgemeindet von Wernsbach, Adelmannsdorf and Höfen von Weihenzell. The administration and jurisdiction of the municipality of Haasgang was subordinate to the district court of Ansbach and the financial administration to the Ansbach Rent Office ( renamed the Ansbach Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1862 onwards, it was administered by the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Ansbach until 1870, 1870-1879 city and district court Ansbach , since 1880 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 11,514 km². It was dissolved on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform: Haasgang, Moratneustetten and Neubronn were incorporated into Weihenzell, Adelmannsdorf and Höfen after Dietenhofen .
