In addition to the Ironman racing series of 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.195 km running, an Ironman 70.3 triathlon consists of half of the classic Ironman distance. In an Ironman 70.3 race, you swam 1.9 km (and thus slightly different from the usual 2 km distance of the middle distance), cover 90 km on the bike and the final discipline is the half marathon distance over 21.1 km constantly to be mastered. The name is derived from the total distance of 113 km or 70.3 miles.
