Karlheinz Hoffmann (born October 7, 1925 in Mersinke , Pomerania ; † October 11, 2011 in Tutzing ) was a German sculptor .

His main work includes a considerable number of church and chancel designs, a number of designs for public squares and fountains, and other works for public and private clients. There are also unpublished works from the fields of sculpture ( stone , concrete , wood , bronze , tombac , other metals ), graphics and painting, as well as text (diary-like documentation, shaking rhymes).

Some of his works of art are on public display in Höhenried / Bernried in the immediate vicinity of the Buchheim Museum in the park of the Höhenried health clinic. Hoffmann enjoyed working with the Munich architect Olaf A. Gulbransson on church designs .

Hoffmann was awarded the Art Prize of the Evangelical Church of Bavaria (1983), the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon (2000), the Bavarian Order of Merit (2006) and (posthumously) the Culture Prize of the Starnberg District in 2010.

Hoffmann lived and worked in Feldafing- Wieling (Starnberg district) since 1961 .
