This discography is an overview of the musical works of the German rapper Kollegah .

According to the record awards, he has sold over 1,187,500 records so far, including 1,150,000 in Germany and 37,500 in Austria. Kollegah has so far recorded 111 songs in the German single charts, a large part of which was created in collaboration with the rapper Farid Bang. To date he has topped the German album charts eight times. (As of June 10, 2020)

Kollegah published his first songs in 2004 in the Reimliga Battle Arena under the pseudonym DERKOLLEGAH. A year later he released his first mixtape, the pimp tape for free on his website, which was re-released in December 2005 via Selfmade Records. Kollegah achieved its first chart success with number 51 in 2007 with his debut album Alphagene . In 2014, King released his currently most successful album. The album sold over 100,000 times within 24 hours and was awarded three gold records by the BVMI for more than 300,000 sales.

Between 2005 and 2016 Kollegah's pieces of music were released exclusively through the Düsseldorf label Selfmade Records . Kollegah has been releasing his music on his own label Alpha Music Empire since 2016 .

Albums

Studio albums

So far, the artist has released six studio albums, all of which entered the charts. Since his fourth studio album, King , all of the albums have topped the German charts. The sound carrier King is also Kollegah's most successful album with over 315,000 units sold, followed by pimp tape Vol. 4 with over 207,500 sales. In total, Kollegah's studio albums were awarded two gold records and two platinum records in Germany and one gold and one platinum record each in Austria. King stayed in the German charts the longest at 23 weeks. The total sales of his studio albums amount to over 682,500, of which he received record awards for 622,500 units sold.

Collab albums

Kollegah has released a total of four collaboration albums with Farid Bang to date . In June 2009 the artists published Jung, brutal, gutaussehend , which entered the German charts at number 30, but only lasted for a week. Four years later, Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2 appeared with which Kollegah and Farid Bang were able to secure the top of the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They also received their first record awards for over 107,500 units sold. In December 2017, the JBG trilogy came to an end with Young, Brutal, Good-Looking 3 . The album achieved gold status in Germany eight days before the official release and in Austria in mid-December. All three JBG albums were indexed by the BPjM . In August 2018, the two released their fourth album together with Platin was yesterday .

Mix tapes

Kollegah's first mixtape, the pimp tape , appeared free on his website in July 2005 and, according to his own statements, has been downloaded over 5000 times. In December of the same year, the pimp tape (X-Mas Edition) , a re-release, was released via Selfmade Records. In June 2006, the second part of the pimp tape tetralogy appeared with Boss der Bosse and three years later the pimp tape Volume 3 , which was sold exclusively via the Selfmade Records online shop. The Hoodtape Volume 1 was released as part of a limited steelbox of the pimp tape trilogy and the re-release, the Hoodtape Volume 1 X-Mas Edition was released at the end of December 2010. The Hoodtape Volume 2 was released exclusively in the deluxe box of the album Imperator . The Golden Era tour tape was created during the Imperator tour and appeared in the Limited Gold Award edition of the Legacy album .

Chart placements

37 songs that are included on Kollegah's albums have so far been released as singles. Most of the decoupling is the album Bossaura with six singles, followed by Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2 , King and Imperator, each of which has four tracks. All of Kollegah's singles were released for download , via streaming , not in physical form. With Dynamit in 2012 he reached the single charts for the first time and in 2017 with a storm mask topped the German single charts for the first time. 13 of his singles could not be placed in the charts and three are no longer allowed to be sold.

Disstracks

Kollegah published six Disstracks by August 2018, which are directed against four German rappers. It published its first in 2006. Fanmail 2 was removed from YouTube in 15 minutes. On August 10th, 2018 Kollegah and Farid Bang's collaboration album Platin was yesterday released the track The Last War, in which Farid Bang and Kollegah dissolve the rapper Shindy and describe this as their last "war" together.
