history

In 1712 15 families with 72 souls lived here : Heinrich Walterscheid, Peter Mertens, Bertram Bayert, Wilhelm Halffmann, Wimar Litterscheid, Jacob Scheiderich, Peter Schäzer, Adolph Severing, widow Peter Walterscheid, widow Peter Grieffroth, maiden Maria Catharina Klein and Andreas Litterscheid.

In 1809 the place had 70 Catholic residents.

In 1910 the households for Litterscheid were Ackerin widow Wilhelm Becker, Ackerin widow Peter Brambach, widow Jakob Honrath, Johann and Ackerer Philipp Klein, day laborer Jodokus Lomberg, factory worker Wilhelm Manz, farm worker Peter Schumacher, farm worker Wilhelm Severin, farm worker Peter and Wilhelm Trost and Ackerin Widow Elise Volberg recorded. The village was then characterized purely by agriculture.
