The list of the team squads of the Nationale I 2001/02 contains all players who have played at least one game in the French Nationale I 2001/02 with their individual results.
The number of registered players was not limited. While the Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 and the Club de Cavalier Bleu Drancy managed with 11 players each, the Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs and the Club de AJE Noyon each used 22 players. A total of 242 players were used, 58 of whom played all 11 rounds. The best point player was Igor Efimov (CEMC Monaco) with 9 points from 9 games, half a point less (from 11 games) was achieved by Murtas Qaschyghalijew (Club de Cannes Echecs). Jean-Marc Degraeve and Éloi Relange (both Club de Clichy-Echecs-92) scored 8 points each from 11 games . In addition to Efimov, Alban Delorme, Maxime Sorin (both Club d'Echecs de Sautron), Damir Levacic (Club de Cannes Echecs), Sylvain Coutton, Nathalie Bonnafous (both Club de Echiquier Niçois), Claude Schmitt (Club de Mulhouse Philidor), Gerard Simon (Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs), Chi-Minh Nguyen and Gaelle Hisleur (both Club de AJE Noyon) continue to play nine 100% players, with Delorme and Sorin each playing two games, the other players one each.
The season's oldest player was Robert Moutaux, born in 1933 (Club de Echiquier Nanceien), and the youngest player, Sébastien Feller, born in 1991 (Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs).
