NUTS-1 level: Regions of Romania

The NUTS: RO or NUTS regions in Romania are the territorial structure of Romania according to the European "System of Territorial Units for Statistics" ( NUTS ).

Basics

In Romania, the three NUTS levels are covered as follows:

• NUTS 1: 4 regions ;
• NUTS-2: 8 planning region;
• NUTS-3: the 42 circles .
