Niedziałki ( German  Fünfhuben ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Barciany (rural community Barten ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Niedziałki is located in the northern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , twelve kilometers north of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

In 1820, Fünfhuben was called a "noble Vorwerk" with a fireplace. In 1874, Fünfhuben was incorporated into the newly established district of Wehlack ( Skierki in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . The population of Fünfhaben was 17 in 1820, 23 in 1885, 49 in 1905 and 38 in 1910.

On September 30, 1928, Fünfhuben gave up his independence and merged with the rural community of Wenden ( Winda in Polish ), the Elisenthal estate ( Niedziały in Polish ) and parts of other neighboring towns to form the new rural community of Wenden.

When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Fünfhuben was also affected and received the Polish name form “Niedziałki”. Today it is a "Przysiółek wsi Niedziały" ( hamlet of the village Niedziały ) within the rural community of Barciany (Barten) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district of Rastenburg ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945, Fünfhuben was parish in the Protestant Church of Wenden in the church province of East Prussia, the Church of the Old Prussian Union, and in the Catholic Church in Rastenburg in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Niedziałki belongs to the Protestant Johanneskirche Kętrzyn with the branch communities in Barciany and Srokowo (Drengfurth) within the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland , as well as to the Catholic parish Winda in the current Archdiocese of Warmia .

traffic

Niedziałki is located on a side road that leads from Winda (Wenden) on Voivodship Road 591 (former German Reichsstraße 141 ) via Jankowice (Jänkenwalde) to Wikrowo (Wickerau) . In addition, a road coming from Niedziały (Wenden Forestry House) ends in Niedziałki.

There is no longer a train connection. Until 1945, Fünfhuben was a railway station on the Rastenburg – Drengfurth railway line , which was not reactivated by the Rastenburg small railways as a result of the war.
