Stary Dwór Barciański ( German Althof Barten ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Barciany (Barten) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Stary Dwór Barciański is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 17 kilometers north of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
Gut Althof Barten was called dismantling Platz after its owner Richard Platz until July 2, 1902 . It used to be under the address "Barten No. 17" and until 1945 belonged to the municipality of Barten ( Barciany in Polish ) in the East Prussian district of Rastenburg . In 1905 Althof Barten had 81 inhabitants.
In 1945 Althof Barten was transferred to Poland in the aftermath of the war with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish form of name “Stary Dwór Barciański”. Today's settlement ( Osada in Polish ) is part of the rural community of Barciany (Barten) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
church
Until 1945, Althof Barten was the parish of the Barten Protestant Church in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and the Catholic Church of Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .
Today there is also a connection to Barciany: to the Catholic parish of Barciany in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Protestant parish of Barciany , now a subsidiary of the St. John's Church in Kętrzyn in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
traffic
Stary Dwór Barciański is located south of a street that leads from Voivodship Road 591 (former German Reichsstraße 141 ) near Barciany via Jegławki (Jäglack) and Kosakowo (Marienthal) to Voivodship Road 650 near Srokowo .
There is no longer a train connection. Until 1945, Althof Barten was a train station on the Barten – Gerdauen line in the management of the Rastenburger Kleinbahnen . The route was abandoned as a result of the war.
