Pastwiska ( German  Milchbude ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to Gmina Barciany (rural community Barten ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Pastwiska is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . 15 kilometers north of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

Milchbude originally consisted only of a small homestead and until 1925 was a Vorwerk in the estate district of Barten domain in the Rastenburg district in East Prussia .

In 1885 the dairy shop had 33 residents, in 1905 only 6. On January 23, 1925, the Vorwerk Milchbude was incorporated into the municipality of Barten ( Barciany in Polish ).

When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war, the milk stand was also affected. The village received the Polish name form "Pastwiska" and is today a village belonging to the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Ogródki ( German  Baumgarten ) in the rural community Barciany (Barten) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Before 1945, Milchbude belonged to the Protestant Church of Barten in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and to the Catholic Church Rastenburg in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Pastwiska is parish on the Catholic side in the Herz-Mariä-Kirche Barciany in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and on the Protestant side it belongs to the parish in Barciany, which is a branch of the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Pastwiska is on a side street that leads from Voivodeship Road 591 (formerly German Reichsstraße 141 ) near Barciany to Ogródki (Baumgarten) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
