Lithuania took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Greek capital Athens with 59 athletes, 12 women and 47 men.

Since 1924 it was Lithuania's sixth participation in the Summer Olympic Games .

Flag bearer

Basketball player Saulius Štombergas carried the flag of Lithuania during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

Medalist

With a won gold and two silver medals, the Lithuanian team finished 45th in the medals table .
