Political Film Society Award for Democracy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Political Film Society Award for Democracy is given each year to a film that promotes and supports the awareness and level of the public in the specific areas of democracy and freedom . This prize has been awarded by the Political Film Society (PFS) since 1988, with one interruption (1996). Depending on the number of films that qualify for this category, there are years in which only one film was nominated for this award, but in subsequent years up to seven films were nominated in one year, so there is no fixed annual Number of nominees.

Like any other Political Film Society Award (PFSA), the award can be given to a mainstream film, an independent film or an international film.
