Portes is about 14 kilometers west of Évreux . Portes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ormes in the north, Ferrières-Haut-Clocher in the east, La Croisille and Saint-Élier in the south, Burey in the south-west, Faverolles-la-Campagne in the west and Émanville in the north-west.
