Primera División (Mexico) 1966/67

The 1966/67 season was the 24th season of the highest Mexican football professional league . The relegated previous season CD Zacatepec was replaced by the promoted CF Nuevo León .

The title race

After 26 matchdays, leaders Deportivo Toluca and defending champions Club América were tied at the top of the table with 34 points, with the goal quotient of 1.83 versus 1.59 at that time clearly speaking for Toluca.
