In a small bay on its north-western side is the place Šepurine; About 1.5 km further in a sheltered bay opening to the southeast is the place Prvić Luka with the main port of the island, in which there are also numerous yachts . Culture and religion

The places Prvić Luka and Šepurine are protected as cultural heritage . There are three Roman Catholic churches on the island , a smaller one from the Middle Ages in Šepurine and a slightly larger one from the 19th century above the village, as well as one in Prvić Luka.

The famous polymath , diplomat and inventor Fausto Veranzio (Faust Vrančić, 1551–1617), whose family from Šibenik had their summer residence above Šepurine, was buried in the Church of St. Mary of Grace in Prvić Luka, where the famous son had one Spent part of his childhood. The building is still owned by this family.

In September 2012, a museum was opened at the port of Prvić Luka, in which visitors can find out more about the life and work of Faust Vrančić, partly interactively and partly using original exhibits. The modern building, which stands out almost like a foreign body from the rest of the harbor development, was co-financed by the European Union .

Economy and Infrastructure

Besides agriculture and fishing, tourism is the most important, but modest economic sector considering the size of the island. There is a smaller hotel at the port of Prvić Luka, otherwise only privately rented houses and guest rooms.

There is no motor vehicle traffic on the island , only the fire brigade and some farmers are motorized.

The Jadrolinija passenger ship Lara has connections several times a day on the route Šibenik - Zlarin - Prvić Luka - Šepurine - Vodice.

Others

The island was one of the locations for the Croatian film " God forbid! ", Which was released in 2014.
