List of the wives of the Roman-German rulers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of the wives of the Roman-German rulers contains the wives of those rulers of the East Franconian Empire since the Treaty of Verdun and of the Holy Roman Empire who are considered to be the actual rulers of the empire in historical research. Although these women only exercised rulership rights in exceptional cases, they are referred to as queens or empresses and were often crowned as such.
