German Chess League 2015/16
The 2015/16 season was the 36th season of the German Federal Chess League . The Solingen chess company became champions , while OSG Baden-Baden had to be content with second place after ten titles in a row. SK Norderstedt (group north), Erfurter SK (group east) and SV Griesheim (group south) rose from the 2nd Bundesliga last year . No promoted team was reported from Group West, so only three teams relegated last year. The three climbers ended up on the relegation places together with FC Bayern Munich , but since SK Turm Emsdetten and SC Hansa Dortmund withdrew their teams and the best relegated Erfurt did without, Griesheim and Munich still achieved relegation. The winning game of Jan-Krzysztof Duda (Hamburger SK) against Grzegorz Gajewski (USV TU Dresden) was chosen for the game of the season .
